This role offers an opportunity to contribute from day one in a dynamic environment, welcoming candidates at early or experienced career stages. The Data Analyst I will support the TAP data team by managing varied datasets ranging from manufacturing and engineering to marketing, sales, pricing, and ERP data. The position is primarily located in Newton, NJ, with occasional duties at other sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and analyze extensive datasets from multiple sources employing tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI to detect patterns and trends.
• Construct and apply data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to derive insights, generating dashboards and reports that facilitate informed decision-making.
• Perform comprehensive data quality assurance and validation to uphold data accuracy and consistency.
• Interpret analytical results and offer actionable recommendations to various stakeholders, enhancing competitiveness and operational efficiency.
• Work with cross-functional teams to create and implement data-driven strategies aligned with business goals.
• Keep abreast of data analysis trends and technologies to continuously improve organizational practices.
• Contribute to data governance efforts including documentation, lineage tracking, and security compliance.
• Lead initiatives for process improvements and clarify strategic and operational challenges through consultation.
• Monitor and evaluate the success of key corporate projects and support management in performance reporting.
• Deliver presentations and training sessions as needed.
• Adhere to company standards and policies regarding work quality and workplace conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Entry-level to one year of experience with data visualization best practices, creating compelling visual reports accessible to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with techniques in data validation, quality assurance, and cleaning to maintain data integrity.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Power BI, and/or Excel for data analysis.
• Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and integration concepts.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyze trends and recommend business actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex data insights effectively.
• Experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, or data mining is advantageous but not required.

Additional Information
