About the Role

Sporty Group is seeking a Data Analyst to explore and analyze vast volumes of data, enabling vital business insights that shape strategic decisions. This role involves crafting and maintaining dashboards extensively used by product managers, traders, and company executives. You will also be responsible for delivering comprehensive reports across various business divisions, enjoying full flexibility in your analytical methods.

Key Responsibilities

Examine and interpret complex large-scale data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions.
Develop, define, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product and operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to transform business questions into structured data analyses.
Present clear and concise data-driven insights to shareholders and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that empower self-service data analytics.
Perform targeted ad hoc analyses to assist in strategic projects and business priorities.
Validate data quality and accuracy by working closely with data engineering teams.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of three years’ experience in a data-focused role.
Proficient in SQL with strong query-writing capabilities.
Familiarity with Python programming and various business intelligence and visualization tools.
Solid understanding of ETL data pipeline architecture and operations.
Experience with A/B testing methodologies.
Working knowledge of Airflow for workflow management.
Understanding of relational database principles and data warehousing techniques.
Passion for and knowledge of sports and gaming industries is desirable.
Self-motivated, analytical thinker comfortable in fast-moving environments.
Excellent communication skills to effectively share insights.

Desirable Qualifications

Practical experience in machine learning applications.
Familiarity with gaming industry specifics or experience.
Hands-on experience with Python and Airflow applied in projects.
Use of Metabase for data visualization and reporting.
