Job Overview
This position involves accurately shaping and fitting prescription lenses into customer frames, ensuring superior quality workmanship. The role requires careful inspection of completed spectacles to confirm they meet our quality benchmarks before being handed to customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack lenses, thoroughly inspecting their condition upon arrival.
- Use a lensometer to verify lens power accuracy, marking the optical center and axis as per order specifications.
- Utilize tracer machines to outline the precise shape and size of lenses and frames.
- Operate edging machines to cut lenses to the required shape and carefully mount them into customers’ frames.
- Use drilling and grooving machines to accommodate Rimlon and rimless frame designs.
- Retouch or chamfer lenses using hand tools or machines when adjustments are necessary, such as oversize lenses or transferring frames.
- Conduct quality checks on every completed job to ensure compliance with company standards before delivery.
Additional Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all machines and accessories, returning them to their designated places.
- Perform timely maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Ensure the edging room is kept clean and orderly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education: Completion of secondary school.
- At least one year of proven experience in lens edging and mounting or a related optical field.
- Prior experience in the optical industry is advantageous.

- Work schedule includes 5.5 days per week: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
