Job Overview
Labcorp is recruiting a US-based remote Customer Service Representative to join their team, providing liaison support between the company, customers, and patients during business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the communication link between Labcorp, its clients, and patients.
- Address routine customer inquiries related to Labcorp products and services through inbound and outbound calls or online interaction.
- Engage with customers professionally and politely, following established protocols.
- Clarify, confirm, and understand customer needs and deliver suitable solutions.
- Offer additional education and information to customers as necessary.
- Identify and onboard new inbound customers interested in Labcorp's offerings.
- Utilize multiple databases for researching complex questions and issues.
- Timely and accurately inform clients about test results.
- Review test documentation for precision and report any inconsistencies.
- Participate in initiatives enhancing customer satisfaction and company performance.
- Provide administrative assistance related to medical record management, CRM data upkeep, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 3 months of experience in customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Experience working in a contact or call center environment for 3 months or longer.
- Healthcare industry experience such as work in a physician’s office or hospital.
Additional Preferred Skills and Standards
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is valued.
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Laboratory Information Systems.
- High professionalism and strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and multitask.
- Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical capability to fulfill job demands.
- Willingness to work overtime or alternative shifts as business needs dictate.
- Residency within the United States is required.
Work From Home Requirements
- Private workspace compliant with HIPAA standards.
- Agreement to provide a home address for reporting purposes (CMS requirement).
- Reliable internet connection with minimum 100 Mbps speed.
- Ability to perform duties remotely in a dynamic, multi-site setting.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay rate ranges from $18 to $24 per hour, dependent on skills, prior experience, credentials, and internal equity considerations.
Employees regularly working 20 or more hours weekly qualify for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k), paid or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plans. Those working fewer hours or on special schedules may have modified benefits eligibility.
