About the Role

DHL Express is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Courier to join their team at the East Midlands Airport Service Centre in Derby. This permanent position involves delivering and collecting shipments while ensuring every customer interaction reflects DHL's dedication to quality service. The role demands managing daily routes, meeting strict deadlines, and maintaining professionalism with a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries and collections adhering to customer expectations and time-specific requirements.
• Serve as a professional representative of DHL, consistently providing high-quality customer experiences.
• Establish strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to assist business growth.
• Plan, prioritize, and adapt daily routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Conduct vehicle checks and ensure safe handling, loading, and transportation of shipments following all company policies and safety standards.
• Accurately log working and driving hours complying with regulations.
• Handle diverse shipment sizes in line with manual handling guidelines and complete all documentation precisely.

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous customer-facing or delivery experience; multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous.
• Excellent route planning ability and strong geographical awareness.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
• Full UK driving license with willingness to acquire or possess a digital tachograph card.

Work Schedule

The role operates Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:30, including a one-hour break.
