About the Role
The Contract Administrator will play a crucial role within Operational Finance's Shared Services Department, tasked with reviewing, monitoring, and inputting downstream contracts and agreements. This role ensures compliance with legal, insurance, and authority limit guidelines while liaising with branch management and the legal department for contract modifications when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare various contracts including purchase agreements and subcontracts.
- Track the progress of pending contracts and maintain records of all fully executed agreements.
- Gather required documentation such as insurance certificates, lien releases, and safety information to ensure compliance with vendors and customers.
- Examine requested changes to contract terms and coordinate with management and legal teams for approvals in line with company authority limits.
- Input all contracts into the Viewpoint management system.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies related to downstream contracts to ensure change orders and contracts are appropriately secured before approval.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred; alternatively, at least two years’ relevant experience in service or construction sectors without a degree is acceptable.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to deliver results independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience using Viewpoint accounting software.
- Additional background in legal matters is advantageous.
