Construction Supervisor

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Construction Supervisor to manage daily activities at the construction site, ensuring that all operations proceed safely, efficiently, and comply strictly with project specs, quality standards, and timelines. This position involves coordinating subcontractors, leading site teams, track work progress, and facilitating timely project completion.

Key Duties

• Oversee and organize daily construction tasks, maintaining adherence to project timelines, specifications, and quality controls.
• Direct subcontractors to perform work aligning with safety regulations and approved workflows.
• Manage timely procurement and availability of materials and resources supporting construction schedules.
• Perform frequent site inspections to identify and resolve safety risks.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to reduce incidents and promote a secure work environment.
• Investigate and document any on-site accidents following company protocols.
• Supervise activities such as excavation, dewatering, shoring, foundation construction ensuring adherence to approved safety methods.
• Coordinate various construction tasks including concrete pouring, masonry, carpentry, brick laying, backfilling, pipe installation, chamber construction, and formwork (shuttering).
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to solve technical and on-site challenges.
• Manage progressive punch listing and ensure completion of all outstanding tasks before project handover.
• Track attendance, productivity, and performance of workforce.
• Lead safety briefings and daily pre-start meetings to reinforce safety awareness and communication.
• Support HSE initiative application, participate in incident reporting and corrective actions for continuous process improvements.
• Ensure proper maintenance and correct use of construction equipment and site assets.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a related technical field such as Civil or Architecture.
• Minimum of 8 years of construction industry experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role on-site.
• Experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is advantageous.
• Demonstrated history managing large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• In-depth understanding of HSE standards, quality assurance/control processes, and risk management.
• Proven ability in coordinating subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams on-site.
• Competent in project planning, cost control, and overall site management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; preference given to candidates with SAP experience.
• Strong leadership capabilities combined with effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.
