Role Overview
The Civil Helper position is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai. This role involves supporting civil engineers, supervisors, and skilled laborers by engaging in essential construction activities such as site preparation, material movement, and manual tasks. Duties include assisting with concrete mixing and placement, managing tools and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of workspaces, and carrying out basic civil tasks like excavation, backfilling, and formwork assistance. Compliance with safety protocols and wearing protective equipment is mandatory, along with promptly reporting any hazards to supervisors. The position requires physical endurance, dependability, and eagerness to learn and adhere to prescribed working methods and site regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Capability to perform demanding physical tasks including lifting, transporting materials, standing, and walking for prolonged durations.
- Basic awareness of construction site operations such as assisting in material handling, concrete works, and excavation activities.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols, including correct use of personal protective gear and adherence to site safety standards.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions from supervisors, collaborate effectively within a team, and communicate clearly.
- Previous experience as a helper or laborer in civil or construction projects is advantageous but not compulsory.
- Preparedness to work on-site in Dubai’s varying climate and according to project timelines.
- Fundamental literacy and numeracy skills to comprehend simple instructions, labels, and safety notices; knowledge of English or regional languages is beneficial.
- Legal eligibility to work in Dubai and availability for full-time commitment.
