Role overview
Telford Offshore is seeking a skilled Chief Electrician to work on a DP3 accommodation/construction barge based in Doha, Qatar. The position follows a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience serving in rank on DP diesel-electric vessels.
- Valid BOSIET or FOET OPITO certification.
- Valid H2S OPITO certification.
- Valid DP Maintenance certificate.
Key responsibilities
- Keep heli-admin systems and helicopter communication equipment operating properly.
- Verify that any electrical or electronic equipment brought aboard by the company or client is appropriate for the vessel's power supply.
- Ensure all such equipment meets applicable rules, regulations, and electrical standards.
- Manage stock of spare parts for electrical and electronic systems.
- Maintain thorough maintenance records in the logbook.
- Carry out DP maintenance tasks.
- Support the planned maintenance system and complete required follow-ups.
Additional information
Rotation pattern: 6 weeks on duty followed by 6 weeks off duty.
