Role Overview
We are seeking a committed and proactive Caretaker to join a bustling school environment, where your work ensures a secure, clean, and well-maintained setting for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and responsive repairs and maintenance tasks along with general DIY work.
- Maintain cleanliness and the overall presentation of school buildings and outdoor areas.
- Coordinate with contractors and supervise ongoing maintenance projects on-site.
- Manage deliveries and track inventory of essential supplies for the site.
- Function as a key holder, responding to alarm alerts as needed.
- Assist in continuous enhancement of the school grounds and facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments related to site safety.
- Keep accurate health and safety documentation up to date.
- Adhere to legal regulations and school health and safety protocols.
- Promote health, safety, and well-being throughout the school community.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be practical, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of duties. Essential qualifications and traits include practical experience in building maintenance or caretaking roles, comprehensive health and safety knowledge, problem-solving skills, effective teamwork and communication abilities, capability to work independently and prioritize, and possession of a full UK driving license.

Working Hours and Benefits
- Work schedule consists of split shifts from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
- Annual entitlement of 25 days of holiday, exclusively during school closures, plus public holidays.
