About the role
This position serves as the main contact for care home customers, ensuring consistently high standards of customer care while overseeing the day-to-day operation of the care services pharmacy. The role is based onsite in the store and reports to the store manager. You will collaborate with local partners to deliver excellent service for care services users.
Key duties
- Organise the care services workload so the team can deliver the strongest possible service.
- Work alongside a local network of roughly 40 care homes, store colleagues and GP surgeries to support excellent care, retain existing homes and attract new business.
- Handle questions and problems raised by care homes and work toward quick resolutions.
- Assist with dispensing activities such as labelling, priming, preparing MARR sheets, ordering, dispensing, endorsing, checking prescriptions and collecting prescriptions.
- Partner with the Regional Business Manager to represent Boots in the local area and help bring in new business.
- Support work across all areas of the pharmacy in store, including the healthcare counter.
Requirements
- NVQ2 in Pharmaceutical Science, or an equivalent qualification.
- Practical experience solving problems in a healthcare setting with a strong focus on customer care.
- Desirable: NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Science, or an equivalent qualification.
- Desirable: a full driving licence, as visits to supported care homes are part of the role.
