Job Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will travel within designated local areas providing personalized care and support based on individual care plans. Your role includes supporting clients with daily living activities, emotional companionship, medication management, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing in their homes.

Work Locations

  • Potters Bar and surrounding areas (EN6) including South Mimms and Darkes Lane
  • Borehamwood and Elstree (WD6)
  • Radlett and Shenley (WD7)
  • Bushey and surrounding areas (WD23) including Bushey Heath

A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory due to the regional nature of the work.

Compensation and Hours

  • Hourly wage between £14.70 and £16.50 plus 30p mileage reimbursement
  • Guaranteed working hours available for increased job security
  • Flexible shift options across seven days including day (07:00–14:00) and evening (14:00–22:00) shifts
  • Paid full-shift opportunities depending on assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with medication preparation and administration following guidelines
  • Support client mobility, including the safe use of equipment
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding if needed
  • Conduct light domestic tasks such as laundry and cleaning
  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence support
  • Offer emotional support and companionship, fostering meaningful relationships
  • Monitor client health and report any changes promptly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care activities
  • Contribute to creating a safe environment and respond to emergencies appropriately
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families
