Role Overview
We are searching for a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to enhance our growing Procurement team. This position will manage a significant number of procurement requests, collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, and guarantee timely execution of purchase orders and contracts. The ideal candidate excels in a busy work environment, shows operational excellence, and skillfully juggles several priorities with precision and adherence to policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle numerous procurement requests across various departments efficiently.
- Assess purchase requisitions ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
- Source standard goods and services by requesting supplier quotes and analyzing pricing.
- Generate, distribute, and oversee Purchase Orders through procurement tools like ZIP Requests.
- Work closely with Legal, Finance, Accounts Payable, and business units to support purchasing and contract processes.
- Monitor procurement requests from start to finish, providing timely updates on status.
- Address issues related to invoices, purchase orders, payments, and suppliers by coordinating with teams and vendors.
- Track and enforce Service Level Agreements for procurement tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, supplier records, and system information.
- Spot opportunities for process enhancement to make procurement workflows more efficient and reduce manual tasks.
- Assist in supplier onboarding and manage vendor relationships as required.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, purchasing controls, and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Buyer roles.
- Background in handling high-volume purchasing operations.
- Expertise in Purchase Orders, Procurement Processes, Supplier Management, and Purchasing Operations.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Skill in prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Keen attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- Experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa, ZIP, SAP Ariba, Oracle, Workday, or equivalents.
- Familiarity with contract management systems like IronClad or similar tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a rapidly growing technology enterprise.
- Understanding of procurement compliance, policies, and purchasing controls.
- History of effective collaboration with Legal, Finance, and AP teams.
- Knowledge of supplier onboarding, vendor management, and end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
- Track record of initiating process improvements in procurement operations.
