Back End Developer

Role Overview

Work'sTruly is seeking a skilled Back End Developer to transform innovative product concepts into functional applications in a fully remote full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce secure and maintainable codebases.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and enhance high-traffic server-side applications.
• Create and deploy APIs that facilitate integration with third-party applications.
• Design and execute testing procedures ensuring application quality, performance, and scalability.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to software architecture decision-making processes.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues while also learning from developers, product specialists, and designers.

Candidate Requirements

• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Express, and MVC frameworks.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, version control using Git, and Agile development methodologies.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current backend technologies and their capabilities.
• Competence in user interface and design principles.
• Skill in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Adherence to discipline in development practices, including testing, documentation, and code organization within a collaborative environment.
• A strong motivation to continuously improve, learn new skills, and elevate project quality.

Hiring Process

Work'sTruly emphasizes careful hiring for long-term collaboration. The recruitment involves four stages:

• Introductory Basic Round: A 15-minute phone call to introduce and discuss fundamental questions.
• Assignment: A role-related task designed to assess necessary technical skills.
• Advanced Round: A 60-minute video interview with a team member to evaluate technical fit.
• Cultural Fit Round: A 60-minute video discussion focused on work culture alignment and shared values.
