Associate Project Commercial Support

Role overview

This position supports the SA 2106 GIS business by partnering with the project management team on commercial tasks and SAP-related activities. The goal is to help project managers stay focused on customer expectations and the unit’s profit and loss performance.

Key impact areas

• Assist with day-to-day commercial project activities, including coordination of bank guarantees, letters of credit, and similar instruments.
• Prepare the commercial paperwork required for banks to process payments under letters of credit.
• Handle SAP project setup and keep costing details current throughout the project lifecycle.
• Compile the documents needed for invoicing and actively drive the invoicing process across projects, including internal follow-up to ensure invoices are raised on time.
• Provide the project manager with supporting documentation and background information for commercial transactions when needed.
• Maintain system records and files related to revenue and payment collection.
• Prepare and update detailed status reports for internal review with the manager on project commercial progress.
• Assist project managers with invoicing reports as required.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable internal policies, external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Background required

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or a similar field, along with 2 to 7 years of experience in a project-based environment involving hands-on commercial documentation. Practical SAP experience is also essential. Strong spoken and written communication skills in both English and Arabic are required.
