We are seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join our team in Sydney, contributing to the development of innovative AI-driven features in our products. This role involves collaborating on problem-solving, elevating data quality, and working with AI tools and platforms to design, test, and deploy impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and fellow data scientists to develop, test, and deploy AI-enhanced functionalities.
• Address real-world challenges through ethical, human-centered approaches.
• Build reliable data pipelines, implement large language model (LLM) enrichment processes, and develop evaluation frameworks.
• Engage in interdisciplinary discussions and knowledge sharing among engineers, people scientists, and data scientists.
• Keep abreast of cutting-edge research and technology advances to pragmatically apply innovations to meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in classical data science methodologies including statistics, model training, and exploratory data analysis.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), including evaluation metrics and agent-based workflows.
• Proficiency with SQL, preferably within enterprise-grade databases such as Redshift or Postgres.
• Skilled in data science tools, particularly Python and libraries like pandas and numpy.
• Understanding statistical and machine learning models, experimental design, and model validation techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Plotly, Seaborn, or Streamlit.
• Knowledge of data modeling and exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Metaflow or Airflow is advantageous.
• Familiar with software development best practices including version control, continuous deployment, and testing.
• Academic background in Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science.

Work Arrangement
