Overview
The Associate Crew Scheduling role is a key position within the Flight Services and Fuel Efficiency Department, part of the Total Mission Management (TMM) Division at Singapore Airlines. The candidate will be responsible for managing technical crew scheduling to ensure adequate staffing while complying with all relevant regulations and agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Guarantee that all flights have the appropriate number of technical crew members according to rules and regulations.
- Adjust crew duty periods and operating patterns caused by delays or disruptions without breaching statutory regulations or the Collective Agreement.
- Identify and implement the best options to reassign crew to minimize flight delays during operational disruptions.
- Complete daily submissions and validity checks for Advanced Passenger Processing (APP) for every positioning and operating crew member, and manually send Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) data when necessary.
- Communicate any roster changes or flight retime/delay updates to technical crew and address their inquiries.
- Support technical crew operations through the use of the CMX system.
- Handle administrative tasks related to technical crew training using the MINT system.
- Assist with e-ticketing processes for technical crew positioning.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the department.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a diploma in any discipline is required.
- Aviation-related qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in aviation or airline operations is advantageous; however, candidates without relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent situational awareness with the capacity to prioritize time-sensitive tasks effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; a dependable team player.
- Proficient with IT, comfortable handling operational and technical documentation and procedures.
- Experience working with multiple software applications.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Willingness and availability to work shifts.
