Role Overview
The Assistant Support Worker contributes to the provision of care to service users, receiving guidance and training to enhance their skills and deliver high-quality support. The position involves fostering professional relationships with colleagues and those receiving care, aiming to empower individuals to achieve meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Daily Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals with their daily schedules
- Supporting community engagement activities
- Facilitating educational and skill development initiatives to meet personal goals
- Helping with essential living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits
- Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, standards, and relevant codes of practice
- Committing to shift work covering 24 hours across all days of the week

Qualifications and Requirements
- No specific formal qualifications required for Assistant Support Workers; comprehensive training is provided
- Social Care Workers must possess a Level 7 or 8 degree in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related field, and be registered with CORU
- Relevant life experience is advantageous though not mandatory
- A positive work attitude and passion for supporting individuals
- A full driver's licence or progression towards acquiring one is essential
