Job description
Position Overview
This role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at Nestlé. The Assistant Manager for Medical Representation is primarily accountable for ethically communicating information about Nestlé's Infant Nutrition products to medical and paramedical professionals within the designated territory. The emphasis is on delivering accurate details about product features, benefits, and appropriate use, especially when breastfeeding is not possible or chosen. All communications are guided by Nestlé's Nutrition Marketing Ethics (NME), aligned with the WHO International Code on Marketing Breast Milk Substitutes, local regulations, and company policies.
Daily Responsibilities
- Advocate Nestlé’s position that breastfeeding is the optimal feeding method for infants and promote it over any alternative feeding options.
- Offer trustworthy advice on infant nutrition and feeding practices tailored to the interests and professional focus of medical and paramedical personnel.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating scientific meetings related to product knowledge, nutrition, or directly relevant medical topics, including sponsorship management and inviting guest lecturers.
- Continuously monitor competitor activity such as new product launches and promotional strategies, and provide reports to the Medical Field Manager.
- Keep comprehensive and accurate records of all professional correspondences and activities performed daily.
- Maintain and regularly update a master contact list for the assigned territory, categorizing contacts by their level of interest and significance, and complete call records accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Medicine, Nutrition, or Biology is required.
- Prior experience as a Medical Delegate is advantageous but not mandatory.
