About the Role
Al Masaood is seeking a skilled Assistant Human Resources Manager to contribute significantly to business development by fostering effective people management practices, boosting employee engagement, and ensuring HR excellence. This position is fully accountable for managing core HR functions and supporting the operational HR team with employee-centric activities. The role collaborates closely with teams to deliver day-to-day HR services and provides general HR guidance, leading in people management areas and promoting best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to people managers, encouraging continual enhancement of HR activities within business units.
- Advise managers and staff on policies and procedures, and actively promote HR initiatives to cultivate a productive and harmonious workplace.
- Coach operational leaders regarding employee matters to educate managers and reduce risks.
- Handle employee relations challenges within business units, fostering a culture rooted in core values such as meritocracy, performance orientation, and diversity.
- Oversee onboarding of new employees, ensuring effective induction and quick integration into productive roles.
- Enforce compliance with local regulations and company policies throughout the employee lifecycle, manage updates to HR policies, and ensure disciplinary procedures are properly managed prior to employee exit.
- Design and execute performance management strategies, including annual appraisals and mid-term reviews, in partnership with Group L&D and Senior HR Business Partners.
- Facilitate internal communication between corporate support and business units, advise on lean workforce management, and assist in structural reorganization to enhance efficiency.
- Manage smooth separation processes for employees leaving voluntarily or involuntarily.
Self-Management Duties
- Set performance objectives annually in collaboration with line managers and ensure achievement throughout the year.
- Identify personal training and development needs and coordinate attendance to relevant programs.
- Strive to achieve advanced proficiency in role-related competencies and skills.
- Stay updated on professional trends, techniques, and issues through continuous learning and growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; certifications such as CIPD or SHRM are favorable.
- Between 3 and 6 years of generalist HR experience or as an HR Business Partner.
- Exposure to change management, performance and compensation management, employee relations, mentoring/coaching, human capital metrics, and financial modeling.
- Strong command of English communication, both written and verbal, at all organizational levels and externally.
- Capability to complete assigned tasks and projects with minimal oversight.
- Competency in digital tools relevant to HR operations.
- Possession of a UAE driving license.
