About the Role
Lefebvre Engineering FZC seeks a skilled Airless Spray Painter to become part of our fabrication team in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality protective coatings on structural steel and fabricated metal components.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain airless spray painting equipment such as Graco, Wagner, or similar brands.
- Prepare surfaces prior to painting through cleaning, degreasing, masking, and performing necessary touch-ups.
- Accurately mix paints and thinners in accordance with the paint manufacturer's Technical Data Sheet (TDS).
- Apply primer and finish coats ensuring adherence to specified Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
- Measure wet film thickness (WFT) and DFT utilizing appropriate gauges to assure quality.
- Detect and correct common paint application defects including runs, sags, orange peel texture, pinholes, and dry spray.
- Follow all manufacturer guidelines for paint application and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper care of painting equipment after use.
Experience & Skills Required
- At least 3 to 5 years of practical experience in airless spray painting structural steel, fabricated parts, trailers, tanks, or heavy machinery.
- Hands-on knowledge of epoxy primers, zinc-rich primers, polyurethane (PU) topcoats, and enamel paint systems.
Additional Details
This position is full-time and based onsite at the Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
