Aircraft Painter

Job Overview

The Aircraft Painter position requires expertise in preparing and applying paint on aircraft surfaces, adhering to strict quality, safety, and time standards. This role includes surface sanding, paint mixing, and application tasks, all performed within set man-hour budgets while following regulatory safety guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare paint mixtures and surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
• Execute paint applications as specified by detailed work instructions.
• Manage surface preparation for paint overlaps and touch-ups on small sections (up to 1 liter).
• Utilize paint tools correctly and understand different paint types and their applications.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify issues or confirm quality against project requirements.
• Comply consistently with Bombardier's quality and safety standards throughout all tasks.
• Accurately complete daily timecards and verify snag/task card records.
• Maintain punctuality, precision, and efficient time use while performing duties.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience painting aircraft, preferably business jets or similar.
• Ability to interpret and work from official documentation such as company procedures and preparation guidelines.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and capable of lifting and moving weights up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Possession of a diploma, relevant trade certificates, or equivalent qualifications.
