Singh & Gupta is a chartered accountancy and tax consultancy firm based in Jalandhar, Punjab, seeking an experienced and meticulous Accountant to join their team. The role involves handling comprehensive accounting tasks, taxation processes, and statutory compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily financial records and books of accounts.
- Prepare and submit GST Returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, TDS filings, and Income Tax Returns timely.
- Support audits, including tax, GST, and bank audits, assisting with report preparation and audit execution.
- Carry out on-site audits at client locations, managing documentation coordination.
- Operate accounting and ERP software such as CATPRO to ensure precise accounting entries.
- Compile financial statements and statutory compliance reports; collaborate with clients, auditors, and tax officials to facilitate compliance.
- Ensure all returns are filed within deadlines and comply with accounting and taxation laws.
- Assist senior staff with accounting, auditing, and financial advisory duties.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum age 18 and maximum 50 years; open to all genders.
- Graduate education level with basic proficiency in English.
- At least two years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in a CA firm.
- Strong knowledge of auditing, accounting principles, tax auditing, and related software.
Skills
- Proficiency in auditing and tax auditing processes.
- Experience in accounting and use of accounting software, including Tally and CATPRO ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience with GST and TDS filing and e-filing of income tax returns.
- Familiarity with ledger balancing and accounting procedures.
