Role Summary

We are seeking an energetic and motivated accountant with strong critical thinking skills who can operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team. The role focuses on general ledger activities as well as managing assets and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial month-end close and local reporting tasks including journal entry preparation, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations adhering to both US GAAP and local GAAP standards.
• Support direct, indirect, and withholding tax filings, including quarterly tax calculations and deferred tax provisions.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and the related reporting processes.
• Assist with accounting aspects of costing and treasury functions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Engage in audit testing activities and communicate findings to management.
• Ensure adherence to SOX compliance, internal controls, company financial and legal policies.
• Monitor and resolve outstanding accounting issues, escalating as needed.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and practices within the team.
• Perform additional duties and support special projects as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar discipline.
• Have at least five years of relevant work experience.
• Prior external audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, with strong technical accounting expertise and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective time management skills.
• Experience with ERP and financial software such as SAP, S4 Hana, BPC, and Hyperion is highly desirable.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and driven to meet deadlines.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Capable of performing efficiently in a fast-moving and dynamic work environment.
