3PL Control Tower Specialist

Overview

The role requires an experienced professional in Quality Assurance and Inventory Control within operational settings. A strong emphasis is placed on monitoring operations and delivering support throughout a 24/7 shift schedule.

The European Union External Fulfilment (EF) network comprises around 41 external third-party logistics (3PL) operations providing storage, throughput capacity, specialized solutions, and facilitating emerging market growth across Europe.

The EU 3PL Control Tower Specialist focusing on Quality offers comprehensive operational assistance across more than 40 European EF locations. This position supports process standardization and optimization, acting as a critical liaison between 3PL partners and internal Amazon teams. The role requires working rotation shifts, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitating onboarding and managing permissions to ensure smooth 3PL operations.
• Delivering operational advice and assistance to 3PL partners across multiple sites in Europe.
• Addressing capacity mismatches and managing warehouse system configurations.
• Serving as the conduit for communication between 3PL providers and Amazon's internal stakeholders, including node managers and problem-solving units.
• Maintaining and updating essential data to enhance supply chain visibility and compliance.
• Monitoring compliance with processes and Amazon's operational standards, highlighting and escalating any variances promptly.
• Supporting the launch and migration of systems with necessary interventions to guarantee continuous operations.

Working Environment

This is an office-based role.

The successful candidate will aid 3PL operations via continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, and optimization.

Daily tasks involve resolving operational challenges and direct communication with 3PL teams, problem-solving groups, and node managers regarding quality KPI management. The role encompasses monitoring KPIs, troubleshooting system issues, and analysing process adherence across 41+ European buildings.

Team Information

The EU 3PL Control Tower Quality team offers end-to-end operational support for over 40 European external fulfilment locations. The team focuses on process standardization, optimization, and functions as an essential communication bridge between 3PL partners and Amazon internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Advanced verbal and written English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent in CEFR).

Desirable Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or AI technologies.
• Prior experience in logistics environments.
