The Product Highway, an AI-native product strategy and engineering company, invites applications for a remote Machine Learning internship. This opportunity involves building data pipelines, fine-tuning transformer models, and conducting reproducible experiments to aid product development. Responsibilities
- Develop data acquisition pipelines using web scraping, APIs, data cleaning, and deduplication.
- Prepare datasets for training and evaluation and design the associated evaluation frameworks.
- Fine-tune and customize transformer models leveraging PyTorch and Hugging Face frameworks, including Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning methods like PEFT and LoRA.
- Execute experiments with rigor, ensuring data versioning, run logging, and configuration tracking.
- Review and apply relevant academic and industry research literature to improve approaches.
- Document methodologies and outcomes in formats suitable for publication, collaborating with the team for support.
- Provide weekly written progress updates covering successes, failures, and lessons learned.

Skill Requirements
- Proficiency in Python programming, including libraries like pandas and NumPy.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch and transformer model fine-tuning.
- Experience with web scraping techniques and tools.
- Working knowledge of transformer architectures with at least one completed fine-tuning project.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
Compensation and Benefits
- A monthly stipend ranging from INR 30,000 to 40,000.
- Certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation upon successful internship conclusion.
