Position Overview

Located in Sydney/Parramatta with supportive flexible working arrangements, this role begins on 24th August and spans a 12-month contract. The role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, spread over 7 hours each day. Compensation ranges between $312.51 to $468.77 per day, plus superannuation, varying by experience.

The Workforce Planning Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping the agency's workforce strategy, designing a workforce prepared for future challenges.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation, coordination, and execution of the agency's workforce strategic plan covering short, medium, and long-term horizons alongside strategic workforce planning frameworks.
  • Establish and maintain methodologies, tools, and processes to identify workforce capability gaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Utilize workforce data, relevant technologies, and analytical tools to monitor workforce trends and people metrics, delivering insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead organizational reviews, workforce planning projects, and initiatives in organizational design to enhance overall agency effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to pinpoint workforce priorities and execute strategic workforce solutions.
  • Prepare well-substantiated business cases and recommendations to support decisions related to workforce investments and organizational change.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in strategic workforce planning, organizational design, or organizational development, preferably within government sectors or large complex organizations.
  • Proven capacity to leverage workforce data and analytical insights to guide decisions at executive levels.
  • Strong skills in influencing stakeholders and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience in drafting business cases and steering organizational change or transformation projects.
  • Background in strategy formulation alongside diversity and targeted employment program management.
  • Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
