Role Overview

This full-time position, based onsite in Rotorua, involves performing wheel alignments, mounting and balancing new tyres, conducting tyre repairs, and assisting with general tyre and wheel maintenance services. Daily responsibilities include assessing the condition of tyres and wheels, advising customers on appropriate products or services, ensuring safety in all tasks, and maintaining a clean and orderly workshop. Strong teamwork and excellent customer interaction are essential to maintain smooth operations and deliver superior service.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in carrying out precise wheel alignments, tyre fitting, balancing, and basic repairs, adhering to safety standards.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using tools, equipment, and understanding vehicle systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with effective communication and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and dedication to high-quality work output.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting tyres and working on vehicles.
• Commitment to health and safety guidelines and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Prior experience in tyre shops or automotive workshops is an advantage but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable functioning as part of a small team.
• Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s licence with the capability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles; candidates with a restricted licence may be considered.
