Role Overview

The Warehouse Operative is essential to supporting the Warehouse Manager in daily warehouse functions, ensuring the smooth processing of goods, accurate inventory management, and contributing to overall warehouse performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and process inbound goods, following established put-away procedures.
• Pick, pack, and prepare shipments for dispatch efficiently.
• Carry out regular cycle counts to uphold inventory accuracy.
• Manage shipments through various logistical methods including air, road, courier services, and international freight.
• Handle product returns and maintain all required documentation.
• Keep the warehouse workspace clean, organized, and safe in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and help implement corrective measures.
• Accurately update and maintain inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Provide training and guidance to both new hires and existing team members.
• Maintain high-quality standards across operational activities and physical storage areas.
• Manage task priorities effectively to meet deadlines and operational objectives.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow integration.
• Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• At least 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and relevant technology is beneficial.
• Knowledge of international freight operations is advantageous.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in dynamic environments.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude with eagerness to learn and take initiative.
• Punctual, reliable, and professional in conduct, with excellent timekeeping.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Comfortable with flexible working hours.
• Competent in using computers and MS Office applications.
