Position Overview
The Visual Media Specialist role involves capturing and producing photographic and video content across Hillpointe’s property portfolio. This role requires on-site work at the Pointe Grand Hub model-unit studio and frequent travel to various communities. Reporting to the Creative Production Director and receiving prioritization from both the Director and Creative Project Manager, the Specialist independently manages projects from initial shoot to final delivery focusing on four key content areas: learning media for training and onboarding, marketing assets for property leasing, social media content for property operations, and serialized brand content for YouTube.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main videographer and photographer on property sites and the model unit studio.
- Control production elements including camera use, lighting design, audio capture, staging, and directing subjects.
- Operate drones for aerial footage in adherence to FAA Part 107 standards.
- Use the model unit as a studio environment for creating lifestyle, staged, product, and training media.
- Edit video content utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar, applying basic motion graphics and ensuring brand consistency.
- Maintain organized file management and adhere to team delivery processes.
- Coordinate with Learning & Development, Property Marketing, and Property Operations on content needs and priorities.
- Follow legal requirements including property/model releases and licensing for music and stock footage.
- Utilize project management tools like Monday.com for tracking projects and deadlines.
- Travel regularly across properties, managing shoots independently and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in professional videography, photography, and editing.
- Comfortable with advanced camera equipment, drones, gimbals, audio gear, and lighting technology.
- Certified or able to obtain FAA Part 107 drone operator certification.
- Expert skill level in Adobe Premiere Pro and familiarity with After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
- Excellent visual composition skills including lighting and pacing.
- Proven ability to handle several projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Self-directed with readiness for frequent travel to property locations.
Preferred Experience and Competencies
- Background in real estate, hospitality, or lifestyle content production.
- Strong photography capabilities focusing on interiors, lifestyle, drone, and event photography.
- Advanced motion graphics proficiency beyond basic effects.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Monday.com.
