Role Overview
We seek a Virtual Platform Administrator to manage enterprise VMware environments, guaranteeing platform reliability, security, and optimal performance in a dynamic production setting.
Key Duties
- Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter platforms.
- Conduct system monitoring, patch application, problem resolution, and capacity planning.
- Support operational processes including incident, request, change, and problem management.
- Verify backups and assist with disaster recovery operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, operational runbooks, and procedure manuals.
- Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.
- Participate in automation efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Required Expertise:
- Over five years of experience in infrastructure or virtualization administration.
- Proficient hands-on skills in VMware and vCenter administration.
- Experience working within Windows and Linux server environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, change management, and SLA-based support models.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities focused on root cause analysis.
Desired Qualifications:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) accreditation.
- Experience with NSX-T networking technology.
- Background in enterprise monitoring, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Skills in automation or scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
