About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned UX Designer (Consultant) to join the Experience Design team at Kainos. This senior role involves crafting intuitive, user-centered service designs aligned with both user needs and business targets. You will contribute to creating digital experiences that are accessible, engaging, and effective for millions of users. Additionally, you will mentor junior designers, uphold best user-centered design practices, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver impactful digital solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to define and execute design strategies and communicate their value to senior leadership.
• Expertise in ideation methods adaptable to diverse business scenarios and project demands.
• Skilled in developing journey maps to guide recommendations and decisions.
• Experienced in building prototypes to facilitate user testing and development processes.
• Proficient in conducting usability tests and integrating research findings into design approaches.
• Capable of crafting and improving information architecture grounded in research analysis.
• Dedicated to promoting accessibility standards and inclusive design practices throughout projects.
• Experienced in steering teams and stakeholders via user-centered design processes during project phases.
• Proven leadership in coaching junior designers and championing UX within the organization.
• Passionate about fostering team development and encouraging a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and refinement of digital services focused on user needs and business objectives.
• Develop and communicate design strategies to ensure project and stakeholder alignment.
• Organize and facilitate ideation workshops to foster creative solutions.
• Produce comprehensive journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and related design artifacts for development and testing.
• Manage usability testing, analyze feedback, and refine designs accordingly.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and analysts to deliver unified user experiences.
• Encourage adoption of accessibility and inclusive design standards across initiatives.
• Mentor junior designers and nurture growth within the experience design team.
• Represent UX best practices in client engagements, presentations, and internal evaluations.
• Stay informed about emerging industry trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance design quality.
