User Experience Product Designer

About the Role

This position is open for UK-based User Experience and Product Designers with technical background in web engineering, engaged in a research project. It targets professionals experienced in comprehensive digital product design and familiar with modern web product construction.

The role demands proficiency in multiple facets of digital product design including user experience, interface design, product user flows, and the seamless transition of designs to engineering teams. It is exclusively centered on digital product architecture, distinctly excluding brand identity or marketing-only website design work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design functional web products such as e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, customer portals, booking and onboarding flows, checkout processes, and internal operations dashboards.
• Develop, review, and assess high-quality UX/UI product scenarios by applying expertise in product design, web interface development, and collaborative design-engineering workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Applicants must reside in the United Kingdom and possess legal work authorization there — these are mandatory prerequisites.
• Demonstrable experience in UX/UI design for complex web-based products.
• Skills in designing e-commerce or marketplace user flows, including checkout, booking, and onboarding procedures.
• Expertise in logged-in customer portals, self-serve platforms, internal tools, administrative panels, and operations dashboards.
• Practical knowledge of product design systems and component-based approaches.
• Proficient in collaborating with product managers, engineers, and data analytics teams, alongside managing design-to-engineering handoffs and implementations.
• Understanding of front-end engineering constraints, responsive design principles, and web development trade-offs.

Preferred Background

• Experience working at leading digital product or UX/UI design companies such as Publicis Sapient, Red Badger, Valtech, Kin + Carta, ustwo, EPAM Continuum (in Experience Design or Product Design roles), or similar top-tier studios.
