Job Overview
The Treasury Accountant plays a crucial role in overseeing and structuring the company’s treasury operations. This position ensures effective liquidity management and administration of all treasury instruments, alongside executing and reviewing payment runs, foreign exchange (FX) transactions, liquidity and FX planning, and cash flow forecasting. Compliance and integrity must be maintained at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
Preferred candidates hold formal credentials in Finance Management (FM), Treasury Management (TM), Accounting, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with FM and TM being especially desired. A successful candidate should possess between 3 to 5 years of experience in treasury roles. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools is essential.
Technical Knowledge
- Intermediate expertise with FX trading tools and trading & hedging strategies
- Advanced skills in cash tools/processes, liquidity & FX forecasting/planning, and payment run executions
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review monthly liquidity forecasts, FX forecasts, and cash flow statements to guarantee adequate liquidity for operational and strategic purposes
- Execute timely and precise payment runs and manage cash pools efficiently across different entities
- Complete monthly cash account reconciliations accurately and within deadlines
- Monitor FX rates vigilantly and handle FX transactions; maintain FX rates and related interfaces within SAP
- Produce detailed reports on FX reasonability, cash holdings, and other treasury metrics
- Serve as the chief liaison with banks, credit card operators, and FX trading service vendors
- Manage bank mandates, banking authorizations, account openings and closures, bank guarantees, loans, credit cards, cheques, and petty cash
- Secure cost-effective contracts and maintain online banking access and treasury user rights
- Assure compliance by enforcing segregation of duties, internal controls, regulatory adherence, and updating treasury manuals and policies
- Oversee treasury systems and interfaces, ensuring timely and precise reporting to the Group related to finances, FX exposure, thresholds, and liquidity
- Drive process improvements, automation efforts, and operational efficiencies within treasury functions
- Lead treasury projects from beginning to conclusion, support cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior treasury staff
