Role Overview
As a Quality Engineering (QE) Lead or Architect, you will be an integral part of cross-functional product teams ensuring software delivered is of high quality, reliable, and scalable. You will champion an automation-first quality methodology and embed continuous testing practices throughout software development cycles to support continuous delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of product quality throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
- Implement and advance continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines, including automated functional, regression, API, and performance testing.
- Execute performance and load testing with tools like K6, Locust, and JMeter.
- Analyze product backlogs and roadmaps to assess risks and prioritize quality assurance efforts.
- Identify and resolve issues across frontend, backend, API, and infrastructure layers.
- Define and monitor key quality indicators such as automation coverage and defect leakage rates.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams on QA best practices and test automation.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and leadership to elevate quality standards.
- Engage in innovation, tooling enhancements, and recruitment initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 12 to 18 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering roles.
- Expertise in test automation using tools such as Cypress and Selenium.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing frameworks including K6, Locust, and JMeter.
- Proven skills in designing and deploying automation frameworks.
- Familiarity integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities spanning multiple technical domains.
- Experienced with Jira/X-Ray and Confluence platforms.
- Prior work experience in Agile product development teams.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A strong sense of ownership with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
