Tempo Driver

Position Overview

We are looking to hire a dependable Tempo Driver to be part of our logistics team. The successful applicant must possess a valid driving license, a spotless driving record, and skillful route navigation capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate a tempo or a comparable light commercial vehicle securely to transport goods to specified destinations.
• Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS or physical maps to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo, taking care to handle items to avoid damage.
• Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on the vehicle and promptly report any defects or issues.
• Keep detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents during transit.
• Engage cordially with customers during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns professionally.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company regulations while operating the vehicle.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Educational qualification of at least completion of 10th grade.
• Prior experience driving tempos or similar light commercial vehicles is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license.
• Physically capable of managing goods loading and unloading, and working under diverse weather conditions.
• Competency in using GPS navigation devices and performing elementary vehicle upkeep.
• Effective communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
