Job Overview
The Technician I role is central to supporting production through meticulous cleaning, packaging, and upkeep of parts, strictly following quality and safety protocols. You will be engaged in manual polishing, ongoing inspections, and specialized operations like masking and preparing for bead-blasting. Safe chemical handling, accurate data recording, and adherence to 6S housekeeping principles are essential. The role requires adaptability to shift work and physical stamina.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including wiping parts with solvents such as IPA, scrubbing with abrasive materials, packaging in cleanroom conditions, and preparing products for shipment.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and adhere to 6S standards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Participate actively in quality assurance and safety programs; complete required trainings and identify any deviations from quality standards.
- Carry out specialized tasks such as masking parts correctly ahead of bead-blasting procedures.
- Handle hazardous chemicals responsibly within safe chemical wet bench areas.
- Manually polish aluminum, stainless steel, and ceramic parts, ensuring quality maintenance.
- Conduct in-process inspections to assure all customer parts meet quality criteria during cleaning.
- Manage multiple tasks in the workstation and provide support for additional ad-hoc assignments as requested.
- Work 12-hour rotating or fixed shifts involving prolonged standing and the physical capability to lift parts up to 20 kg.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School diploma complemented by technical certification from an Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
- Prior cleanroom operational experience is required.
- Skilled in managing workplace stress and repetitive tasks with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience handling chemicals safely and following strict safety protocols.
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently with fast production turnaround times and adapt to flexible hours and assignments.
