Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly formed IB World School located in Doha, Qatar, offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). Role Overview

The Teaching Assistant will play a crucial role supporting classroom teachers to provide exceptional, tailored learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP and MYP frameworks. Key duties include working with individuals, small groups, or entire classes to ensure effective in-class assistance, preparing teaching materials and resources, and helping foster students' independence and enthusiasm for learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in delivering differentiated and high-quality instruction aligned with IB frameworks.
• Provide targeted support for individual students, groups, or whole classes as directed.
• Prepare and organize learning materials and classroom environments ahead of lessons.
• Help students access curriculum content, encouraging independence, resilience, and motivation.
• Support the promotion of positive behavior consistent with the school's learning standards.
• Contribute to tracking and documenting student progress including maintaining portfolio evidence.
• Facilitate the use of ICT and educational technology resources within classrooms.
• Engage positively with the wider school community and activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent certification such as CACHE or NVQ Level 3.
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in educational settings.
• Capability to support students of varied learning needs through differentiated instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a multicultural environment.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication abilities.
• Highly organized, dependable, self-motivated, and a strong collaborator.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Experience within an international or IB school context is advantageous.
