Systems Accountant

Job Purpose

The Systems Accountant serves as the key custodian for all finance-related data and system operations. This role entails mapping and controlling every automated data pipeline from the organization's core platform, Metabase, and various SaaS applications into Microsoft Dynamics. The position leads end-to-end finance system implementations and ensures strict system controls and segregation of duties, targeting corrective actions within 48 hours and maintaining 99.5% data integrity across sources.

Key Accountabilities

• Map, monitor, and sustain automation for financial data pipelines linking the main platform, Metabase, Microsoft Dynamics, and supporting SaaS tools such as procurement, payroll, and expense management applications.
• Lead finance-related projects including introductions of new software, modules, and upgrades, covering requirement gathering, creation of future-state process maps, and managing multi-department rollouts.
• Develop and conduct thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and data migration strategies to ensure zero data loss or mismatches during system deployment or changes in database structure.
• Function as the super-user and administrator for Microsoft Dynamics and related finance applications; responsible for enforcing system access controls and managing segregation of duties (SoD).
• Diagnose and fix issues related to data synchronization failures, transaction errors, and ledger discrepancies promptly within 48 hours, while also automating repetitive manual solutions whenever possible.
• Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to align Metabase data schemas with accounting principles and the Chart of Accounts, maintaining over 99.5% accuracy across data sources.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline is required.
• Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in finance systems, ERP platforms, or financial data management environments.
• Proven background in supporting finance system integrations and ensuring data validation integrity.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP software solutions.
• Skilled in developing financial reports, dashboards, and establishing data quality controls.
• Demonstrated involvement in finance process automation and digital transformation projects.
