System Analyst - Accounting and Core Engineering

Role Introduction

The Accounting and Core Engineering team is responsible for the financial logic that forms the platform's backbone, including general ledger structures, postings, fees, and product accounting. The Systems Analyst role involves defining, documenting, and delivering this financial logic end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Bridge accounting and engineering by converting financial processes such as general ledger, postings, fees, and product rules into precise technical specifications for development teams.
• Analyze and reverse-engineer existing systems to identify gaps, understand functionality, and document previously undocumented behaviors.
• Manage the implementation lifecycle from specification creation to production deployment, including testing, acceptance, and release coordination with finance, product, and IT teams.
• Gather and formalize financial system and accounting process requirements into actionable specifications and user stories.
• Design posting logic, general ledger frameworks, and fee structures for current and upcoming products.
• Document existing systems that lack comprehensive documentation to establish the current state before proposing enhancements.
• Collaborate across finance, product, and engineering departments to harmonize requirements and resolve conflicts between business needs and technical feasibility.
• Take ownership of testing, acceptance, and end-to-end delivery through to production release.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a Systems or Business Analyst.
• Background working with financial systems or processes.
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals; practical experience with general ledger is highly advantageous.
• Proven expertise in decomposing complex systems and analyzing processes to identify omissions.
• Experienced in coordinating multi-team requirements and engaging various stakeholders.
• Proficient in English at a B2 level or higher, enabling effective communication with international partners.
• Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, message queues, data exchange mechanisms, log interpretation, and data-driven problem-solving.
