Support Worker - In-Home Care

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, organized, and motivated individuals who enjoy caring for others and are passionate about fitness, sports, and a healthy lifestyle. This position suits student nurses, physiotherapists, or similar professionals desiring permanent part-time employment providing in-home support to a 30-year-old female client in Auckland. The client is articulate, intelligent, and particular about her caregivers, so we require exceptional candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, and supporting exercise routines.
• Accompany client to gym workouts and social outings such as movies and appointments.
• Serve as a trusted companion, offering support, conversation, and lighthearted interaction.
• Work primarily regular hours, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, with some shifts on weekends as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably aged between 30-40 years.
• Available for a few shifts weekly including weekdays and weekends.
• English as first language with excellent communication abilities.
• Possess a current full driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Hold mobile phone for work communication.
• Possess Level 2, 3, and 4 health qualifications.
• Experience as a personal carer is preferred.
• Prior experience supporting rehabilitation, particularly after accidental brain injuries, is advantageous.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• High energy levels, strong sense of humor, and fitness enthusiasm.
• Exemplify reliability, honesty, and genuine caring attitude.
