Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and optimization of supply chain operations at Maverick Power. This entails managing procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery of products and materials.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the main communication bridge between buyers and factory stakeholders
Engage daily with project managers, planners, and purchasing teams to align material needs
Prioritize materials across competing projects effectively
Lead, develop, and mentor the supply chain team members
Design sourcing strategies for acquiring new materials
Procure materials and supplies to meet operational needs
Monitor stock levels ensuring sufficient inventory is maintained
Keep purchasing records and data up to date and accurate
Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and regulatory requirements
Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers and conduct quarterly business reviews onsite
Analyze market trends and procurement data to identify risks and opportunities
Develop procurement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks
Negotiate pricing and favorable terms with suppliers
Handle additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

At least 10 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing context
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related fields
Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience delivering presentations across various organizational levels
Adaptability and enthusiasm for shifting priorities and challenges
Keen attention to detail and effective time management to meet deadlines
Robust negotiation skills
Maintain a customer-focused approach even under pressure
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with switchgear or other power distribution equipment
Knowledge of industrial breakers
Experience managing copper and sheet metal commodities
Working with Epicor Kinetic software
Project management background

Physical Requirements

Extended periods working seated at a computer workstation
Capability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally
