Overview
The Supply and Services Manager role is based physically in Qatar and supports the LOGCAP program. Reporting to the Senior Logistics Manager, the position manages logistics functions at the designated site under the LOGCAP V Qatar Task Order. Key responsibilities include overseeing Supply Support Activity (SSA) operations such as bottled water, ice services, and management of gray and blackwater disposal. You will serve as a primary customer liaison for local activities, establish milestones, monitor plan adherence, identify obstacles, and implement solutions including resource allocation. All logistics personnel and subcontractors must be properly trained, qualified, and certified to fulfill contract requirements efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, as detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on cost control, scheduling, and technical execution to ensure program goals are met successfuly.
- Coordinate continually with customers and Vectrus leadership teams.
- Oversee setting work priorities, monitoring procedures, and evaluating programs.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with customers, peers, and other key stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with evolving program or company needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of one year related experience can substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance and/or ability to obtain one is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- At least ten years of broad, multi-functional logistics experience covering quartermaster, maintenance, transportation, and support services.
- Preferred: Minimum six years of supervisory-level logistics experience within the U.S. Army.
- Experience managing government contracts is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills to assess logistics practices and challenges to enhance support effectiveness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with proficiency in computer applications including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and presentations.
- Outstanding organizational and managerial skills, capable of working independently within a dynamic team.
Supervisory and Working Conditions
- Provide extensive guidance and leadership to a multinational team.
- Work conditions include exposure to extreme temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit, hot and dry desert climate with seasonal extremes ranging from approximately 30°F in winter to 130°F in summer.
- Work environments may also include indoor, outdoor, and industrial production areas with high ambient noise requiring shouting to communicate.
Physical Requirements and Safety
- Role qualifies as light work: involves occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds, frequent exertion up to 10 pounds, or negligible constant force to move objects.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)—including head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protection—is mandatory in some conditions.
- Compliance with all fire, safety regulations, and site-specific policies is required.
