About the Role
This position is based at La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartment in Dubai. The Storekeeper / Receiving Clerk will manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of hotel supplies, food and beverage stock, operating materials, and equipment. The role is focused on maintaining accurate inventory, following proper stock rotation, and making sure goods reach the right hotel departments on time.

Reporting Line
This role reports to the Purchasing Manager and the Director of Finance.
Receiving Duties
- Accept incoming deliveries and check them against purchase orders and supplier invoices for the correct quantity, quality, and specifications.
- Examine all items for damage, freshness or expiry, and overall quality compliance.
- Record every received item correctly in the inventory system.
- Work with suppliers to resolve shortages, mismatches, or damaged deliveries.
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and keep accurate receiving documentation.
- Make sure all deliveries follow hotel purchasing rules and hygiene requirements.
Storekeeping Duties
- Place stock in the correct storage areas using the required storage methods.
- Keep inventory balances and stock records accurate at all times.
- Release goods to departments only when requisitions have been approved.
- Track stock movement and escalate low-stock concerns to management.
- Carry out routine physical counts and support monthly stock takes.
- Apply First-In-First-Out (FIFO) practices, particularly for food and beverage products.
- Keep storage rooms clean, orderly, and secure.
Administration and Compliance
- Enter updates into the inventory system accurately and without delay.
- Organize delivery notes, invoices, and inventory files properly.
- Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety standards.
- Support internal and external auditors during stock audits.
- Help reduce waste, losses, and inventory variances through cost-control practices.
Qualification and Experience
A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required. A diploma in Hospitality, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position, ideally within a hotel setting. Familiarity with inventory systems and hotel software is important, along with basic computer ability, especially in Microsoft Excel and inventory tools. Strong number handling, accurate record maintenance, and the ability to lift and move stock are also needed.
