Role Overview

The position, officially titled Studio Supervisor, is based in Nolita, New York, NY. Reporting to the Studio Manager, this full-time role commands a critical support function in Studio operations as a trusted keyholder and frontline leader. The Studio Supervisor is accountable for independently opening and closing the studio, assisting floor management during busy times, and consistently upholding the customer and brand experience. Although not a managerial role, it demands maturity, ownership, and leadership through example.

Key Responsibilities

Independently open and close the Studio, ensuring meticulous adherence to all procedures.
Assist in daily visual merchandising, restocking supplies, and maintaining studio cleanliness and order.
Analyze daily business metrics and contribute to strategy implementation to boost sales results.
Lead the floor team during shifts to meet sales and service objectives effectively.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and brand standards, especially concerning piercing protocols and Studio hygiene.
Deliver excellent customer service while educating clients about the Studs experience.
Handle service recovery and escalate customer issues when necessary.
Create a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with company service standards.
Exemplify professionalism, inclusivity, and accountability to foster positive team culture.
Provide constructive, timely feedback to colleagues and escalate concerns appropriately.
Support company values and promote a collaborative, feedback-friendly workplace.

Candidate Requirements

Experience as a keyholder or shift lead involving independent operation and responsibility for opening and closing a retail location.
Availability to work a flexible schedule up to five days a week (minimum 32 hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with consistency and reliability.
Mandatory weekend availability (Friday through Sunday), except during approved paid time off.
An ability to prioritize Studs as the main employment commitment, with schedule flexibility based on business needs.
A history demonstrating professional behavior, dependability, and sound decision-making in a customer-facing role.
Physical capability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and to lift or move items weighing at least 20 pounds.
Competence in safely handling chemicals and adhering to health, safety, and compliance standards.
Comfort with solo operation of the Studio and accepting leadership responsibilities during assigned shifts.
A positive attitude conducive to receiving feedback and fostering teamwork in a customer service context.
