Store Manager

Overview

Vision Ireland, a prominent charity retailer in Mitchelstown, Co Cork, is seeking a committed Store Manager to lead their retail outlet. This full-time permanent position involves working 37.5 hours per week and reporting to the Retail Area Manager. The store manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the charity's mission by managing a team to drive sales and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with retail standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve and surpass the retail store's sales objectives consistently.
• Maintain engaging and up-to-date visual merchandising aligned with promotions and seasonal activities.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff, volunteers, and social activation scheme workers to foster a positive work environment focused on exemplary customer service.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage to meet daily and weekly business demands.
• Guarantee the sale of high-quality goods and maintain a clean, professional store environment.
• Oversee the handling, presentation, and pricing of donated products, ensuring they are clean, ironed, tagged, and properly rotated on the sales floor.
• Manage financial operations including banking, till receipts, transactions, and cash controls adhering strictly to procedures.
• Take charge of store inventory and safeguard all equipment and premises.
• Lead and support ongoing store and community fundraising initiatives.
• Promote the Vision Ireland brand locally through cost-effective channels in alignment with brand guidelines.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations, including training, fire safety procedures, and maintenance of safety and first aid equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a retail supervisory role is essential.
• Authorization to work full-time in Ireland is required.
