Software Project Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Software Project Manager, you will be responsible for orchestrating and supervising the entire project lifecycle. This includes developing and enforcing project timelines, facilitating clear communication throughout the organization, and translating verbal and written inputs into structured, actionable technical tasks. You will manage client requirements, allocate resources, track milestones, and oversee deadline adherence and quality control. Additionally, you will prepare and present technical documentation, assist with quotations, and closely collaborate with key stakeholders.

You will also manage the end-to-end ticketing process, turning stakeholder needs into clear tasks, identifying dependencies, and regularly refining the backlog to prevent task duplication. Your coordination efforts will ensure smooth progress between team members while maintaining precise project documentation. Tracking progress collaboratively, supporting sprint planning, and contributing to task estimation will help sustain consistent team productivity.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or related disciplines. Entry-level candidates freshly graduated with a strong technical base and eagerness to grasp complex product ecosystems are encouraged to apply. You should have the ability to rapidly acquire deep knowledge of steel scheduling and manufacturing workflows, essential for supporting our core products.

A foundational understanding of software development concepts such as APIs, database management, and frontend/backend architectures is required. Experience with project management or ticketing platforms like Jira, Trello, or Asana, alongside a basic grasp of Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment, is essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, proactive problem-solving aptitude, and strong organizational capabilities that include data-driven reporting are necessary qualities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and fluent English are mandatory, while German language skills will be considered advantageous.
