Their goal is to create the ultimate data platform for the AI era, supporting novel data-centric applications and promoting a data-driven culture.

Within this realm, the databases team develops and manages Microsoft's operational database systems designed to handle structured data for numerous industries. Their focus lies in delivering developer-friendly, resilient, AI-powered operational databases across relational, non-relational, and open-source platforms.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy distributed database management solutions that prioritize customer value through enhanced security, performance, reliability, usability, and maintainability, aligned with business objectives.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to balance system design trade-offs and ensure successful customer experiences with the products.
• Exemplify company culture and uphold core values in all endeavors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in developing and delivering production-grade software or services using languages such as C#, C++, or their equivalents.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to fulfill Microsoft and regulatory security screening obligations, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hiring and recurring biennially.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems is advantageous.
