Role Overview

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to hire an enthusiastic and adaptable Social Worker to join our committed team. The role focuses on supporting students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic wellbeing by collaborating with families, school staff, and external organizations, ensuring every student is positioned to succeed within an inclusive and supportive school community.

Candidate Profile

We seek a compassionate, proactive, and well-organized professional dedicated to fostering young people's wellbeing and achievement. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Services, or a related area and have at least two years’ experience working with youth, preferably within an educational environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide both individual and group social and emotional support to students.
• Contribute to planning and implementing intervention programs.
• Assist in crisis management and safeguarding processes.
• Foster positive partnerships between families and the school.
• Identify barriers to learning and development and implement appropriate support systems.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records with professionalism.
• Support the promotion of an inclusive and positive school culture.
