About the Role
A leading contractor based in Galway is looking to hire an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of various commercial and residential construction projects in the Galway area. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to lead project execution with a respected contractor known for quality developments and a strong workload pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily site activities from project start to finish.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth project progress.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and meets high-quality standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
- Track project progress and manage the sequence of construction activities.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation including records and reports.
- Communicate with clients, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders involved in the projects.
- Implement and supervise health and safety protocols, fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
- Address and resolve any technical or construction challenges promptly as they arise.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager within the construction sector.
- Proven track record managing both commercial and/or residential construction projects.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site management practices.
- Capability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership competencies.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and quality compliance.
- Relevant construction-related educational qualifications preferred.
- Possession of a valid full driving licence.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range from €70,000 to €85,000 per annum depending on experience.
